Dr Oliver Lock is an AI and data science leader with over 12 years of experience delivering technology-enabled solutions across government, infrastructure, and regulated financial sectors.

Prior to joining Hadron Group, Oliver led a high-performing agile team focused on AI products and innovation at a leading professional services firm. In this role, he successfully scaled a flagship Generative AI platform from a proof-of-concept into a secure, on-shore enterprise solution adopted by a workforce of over 10,000 and expanded to member firms across the Asia-Pacific region. The platform was further democratised for regulated clients, operating alongside delivery of specialised digital twins and computer vision products.

His background encompasses managing complex, data-intensive machine learning pipelines for a premier mobility data provider and delivering city-shaping analytics for global engineering consultancies. Oliver has applied these advanced AI and data science techniques to urban mobility and liveability, developing industry-first tools that integrate complex geospatial data with sustainability goals.

On the global stage, Oliver has served as a technical consultant for international development organisations, applying data science to climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, and urban planning projects in developing nations.

He holds a PhD from the University of New South Wales, where he pioneered research in participatory analytics - investigating methods to make complex transport data and models more accessible to citizens and decision-makers. A recognised thought leader with work published in leading academic journals at the intersection of AI and the built environment, Oliver combines deep technical expertise with collaborative leadership to deliver secure, high-impact digital products
